Study Links Dementia With Cholesterol Decline

Huakini's Honolulu-Asia Aging Study (HAAS) looked at individuals whose cholesterol begins to decline over a 15 year period. They can link dementia with cholesterol decline. Debra Ray added that many research scientists and physicians believe that one of the reasons why we see in some individuals, that use cholesterol lowering drugs, brain dysfunction and global amnesia. Don't think the lower the cholesterol, the better. We need that cholesterol for the membranes of the body, particularly the brain. Dr. John Abramson has said, in an article for the Bristish Medical Journal Lancet, that there's no science to back the new lower standards for blood fats.
