Having Green Foods, Even With Blood Thinning Meds, Such as Warfarin & Coumadin, Is Recommended!
David Sandoval, CEO of Pure Planet, and Sha'Dona Brewer, answered an Email question on their show. Doctors have been recommending for years that leafy greens should not be eaten when you are on blood thinning meds, such as Warfarin and Coumadin. Recently, the New England Journal of Medicine debunked this age old theory. While green leafy vegetables do have blood thinning properties, like vitamin K, they also have coagulating properties. They give you the best of both worlds. Green leafy vegetables do not interfere with drugs. People at risk for heart attack have a tremendous need for the repairing effects (nutrients, detoxification, rebuilding, and oxygenation) that come from having green foods.
