Help for Eczema that Works!
Lorna Vanderhaeghe was a guest on The Debra Ray Show. A caller said that her mother's eczema was not helped by cortisone shots or anything else the doctor recommended. Lorna said that eczema is an internal problem , an EFA (essential fatty acid) deficiency. Although many people take fish oils for eczema, she finds that they do not work very well. She recommends borage oil (which contains GLA), at a dosage of 3,000 to 6,000 mgs a day. If you're taking fish oils, she recommends taking the upper limit of borage oil dosage, about 5,000 mgs. If the sores are not open or weeping, you can use a 10% topical celadrin cream that doesn't contain menthol.
