Natural Migraine Headache Help from the Cleveland Clinic
According to the Cleveland Clinic, migraines are most often caused by magnesium deficiency. Debra Ray said that magnesium citrate is a cheap and effective way to take magnesium. It's sold in a 10 fluid ounce bottle in most drug stores. Before a barium enema X-ray exam, you're told to drink an entire bottle of this stuff. According to Debra, you only need to take 2 tablespoons a day. She suggests taking it on an empty stomach, in 5 ounces of water. If you get diarrhea, you are taking too much. I can only take 1 tablespoon a day.
