USDA's Top 20 List of Antioxidant Foods
The Human Nutrition Research Center, using the most advanced technologies available, measured the antioxidant levels of more than 100 different types of fruits, vegetables, berries, nuts, and spices. Antioxidants trap rogue molecules, called "free radicals." Everyone has free radicals. Unchecked, "free radicals" can lead to cancer, heart disease, and Alzheimer's. Ranked from highest (1) amount of antioxidants to the lowest (20):
