Get a Better Night's Sleep to Help Your Immune System
Gary Null, on The Gary Null Show, read from a study that showed not getting a good night's sleep adversely affects your immune system. He gave these suggestions.
- Eat nothing that has caloric value in it within 3 hours of going to bed.
- Make some effort at destressing yourself, prior to going to bed. *A cup of herbal tea with 200 to 300 mgs of L-Theanine. L-Theanine is an amino acid that is a nerve relaxer. *Calcium & Magnesium, at 500 to 1,000 mgs a day, is a musculature relaxer. *A warm bath with nice oil, such as sandalwood or frankincense oil to relax the central nervous system.
- If you're hungry, drink 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice in cold water & that kills your appetite.
- Don't sleep with your head within 6 feet of an electromagnetic appliance, such as a TV (even though it's turned off) or an alarm clock.
- Make sure the room is dark.
- Don't drink a lot of liquids before you go to bed.
- Take 3 mgs of Melatonin just before going to bed.
